Mine used to!
In March I am going to Oaxaca, Mexico with my husband. My husband is an artist and is showing his work there. I am extremely excited but also a little anxious.
Warm weather= Beach= Bathing suit= Ahh!
No bulky sweaters in Mexico to cover winter weight-full exposure!
In the past, I was extremely judgmental of my body. I would look in the mirror and only see flaws.
My belly was too big, my arms were jiggly, and I couldn’t fit into my summer jeans. Oy vey!
As I’ve gotten older (and wiser!) I’ve learned to approach my weight journey with love and respect for my body shape instead of harsh criticism.
I accept and love my body (I have great curves!) and my focus is now to live a healthy life.
Here are a few steps you can follow to learn to stop judging yourself and love your body:
1. To begin, all the critical judgment I was doing to myself became like a war in my body and the war only caused more stress and tension.
I am helping reduce this tension by meditating. Every night I set time aside for myself to meditate. Starting from my feet I tense and release my muscles. As I release each body part, I appreciate it. For example– I inhale and tense both feet for a few seconds and then release. As I release I say my feet are wonderful they allow me to take long walks on the streets of new York.
The when I get to my belly- Tense that area, Release it and say, I am so happy that my belly allows me to digest all the good food I love so I have energy to enjoy my life and so on.
Breathe in through your nose and exhale through your mouth. Start with your feet and end with your face.
2. Body love part two, Don’t fight ! Look at what has worked for you in the past. Avoid the word ‘should’ word. For me, I don’t have time or desire to cook 3 meals a day- and I have learned this through experience.
In the past using the Cinch program, two shakes a day, a snack, and a dinner has worked well in my busy life. I find I have a lot of energy and I don’t have the highs and low that blood sugar bouncing causes me. When I measure my waist after 2 weeks, I see the inches coming off. The Cinch program makes my life a lot easier!

Wearing a bathing suit and traveling are great incentives to lose weight but it is more important to learn to enjoy and love my body whatever size it is.
Cheers!

You look FABulous Darling!
