I’m quite the traveler these days. Last weekend I went away again to Salt Lake City, Utah with some of my friends in the Art World. We enjoyed dining at Robert Redford’s Restaurant, sight-seeing at Park City (ski resort area) but the main purpose of the trip was to celebrate my friend’s birthday by visiting the Spiral Jetty.
Ever heard of this?
The Spiral Jetty was created by an American sculptor, Robert Smithson, in the 1970s. He took large rocks and formed a 1,500-foot-long and 15-foot-wide counterclockwise spiral in the Great Salt Lake. It was quite a spectacular view! I felt like I was in another world and was so glad to share this experience with my husband and friends.
Our day at the Spiral Jetty was filled with exploration and excitement.
To get there we had to drive 3 hours from Salt Lake City and climb through rocks. In order to have enough energy to enjoy this day I made sure I fueled my body in the morning. While everyone was drinking coffee and eating bagels I enjoyed my Shaklee Chocolate Cinch Shake and some Cinch Energizing Tea.

What I love about Shaklee is that it has taught and given me tools on how to live a healthy life. When I’m traveling I always enjoy myself! I’m not obsessed about counting calories or not eating but I know how to make healthy decisions. I have my own rules that I stick to and help me feel good. I use products that help me to feel full/energized and products that help with my digestion– all of these things make it easier to make better choices.
I feel bad for people who can’t enjoy themselves when they are out because they feel they are ‘cheating’ on their diets. One of my clients mother’s stays home so she ‘wont’ eat too much’ and another client indulges when she travels and eats everything since she ‘will never have this experience again..
Shaklee and I teach that there is a balance between these two extremes.
Enjoy your life, try new things, but set yourself up for success.
Cheers!
